I’ve been found out!

So, I had thought I figured out how to continue blogging on wordpress while in China, thanks to Churbuck’s blog archive on China. I recalled he had some postings on viewing blocked blogs in China, so pulled them up and got to work.

I can view blocked blogs using (http://anonymouse.org/anonwww.html) … that is no problem, works everytime. But, I not only wanted to view blogs, I wanted to continue writing in mine – Anonymouse doesn’t let me log in to wordpress.

So, onto the next … Tor (http://tor.eff.org/docs/tor-switchproxy.html.en) … this is something you have to download & add in as a plug-in to firefox… it’s a proxy. It worked… I was able to view blogs & log into my wordpress account…for one day. I’ve tried it again multiple times from various locations, which I assume, have different firewalls, but nothing.

Maybe they noticed a lot of people using Tor and finally just blocked it completely in China???

O well, will have to continue using flickr to publish
